1970: MILITARY SURPLUS “THROW” KIT AND RESTRAINTS

In the late 1970s, “throw kits” were supplies on New York State ambulances. These throw kits were purchased from military surplus after the Vietnam war ended. The kits included, but were not limited to, adjustable wrist and ankle restraints, bandaging materials, scissors, tape, and ammonia capsules.
