About Improvised Splints
Accidents can happen any time and anywhere. As a first responder or first-aider it is important to not only know how to properly apply splints to properly immobilize an injured area but also evaluate the scene and create tools and as necessary. Improvised splinting requires a responder to use items around the scene to create a safe and effective splint to help ensure patient safety and comfort when treating or transporting the patient for further care.
