1970’S: BVM PURITAN MANUAL RESUSCITATOR
In the 1970s, the Puritan Corporation manufactured the Puritan Manual Resuscitator. The bag/valve/mask (BVM) combination was intended for multiple manual uses to give patients air. Supplemental oxygen could be added to the bag by adding a small tube to the green valve.
