1974: DODGE/WAYNE “CARE-O-VAN” AMBULANCE

This is a 1974 “Care-O-Van” type III ambulance, which was built on a Dodge chassis by the Wayne Corporation of Blytheville, Arkansas. It featured a split side door that opened to a 48″ access, as well as 61″ of patient compartment headroom and 88″ by 52″ floor dimensions in the rear. It followed the great success of the 1973 Dodge Medicruiser.
