Background

The 1973 model of the Stryker Stretcher was available as a modular kit, meaning it was customizable to meet the needs of the situation(s) in which it would be used. Hospitals could order it with an aluminum “Fowler” litter, hydraulics, fifth-wheel steering, 4-wheel brakes, swinging side rails, head and/or foot boards, restraints, and an oxygen bottle holder, among other things!
