1974: DEFIBRILLATOR: AO PULSAR 4

Developed in the 1960s and manufactured in 1974 by American Optical, the Pulsar 4 Defibrillator featured a removable ECG monitor that could be used separate from the unit. The defibrillator could be found on many ambulances during the 1970s. This defibrillator was donated to my collection by Tom Parr, who was the founder of Parr Emergency Equipment which later became Boundtree. This is probably the same defibrillator seen in seveal early 1970’s Horton Ambulance advertisements. I currently have this unit on display in my 1973 Horton ambulance.
