1974: DEFIBRILLATOR: LIFEPAK 4

From 1974 to 1979, Physio-Control Corporation produced the LifePak 4, which replaced the LifePak 3. The LifePak 4 was the first integrated ECG strip recorder-monitor-defibrillator and featured an adjustable joule setting defibrillator, a scope, and introduced the company’s first portable unit with an EKG paper print-out. It is still regarded as one of the most durable devices ever manufactured for pre-hospital care.
