1980s: CARDIO-TACH PULSE MONITOR

Manufactured in the 1980s, the Cardio-Tach pulse monitor allowed EMS professionals to monitor the pulse rate of a patient. The machine featured a settable alarm to warn EMTs if the patient’s pulse drastically changed.
