1973: HLR-HEART LUNG RESUSCITATOR

In 1973, the Brunswick Manufacturing Company introduced the HLR 50-90 Heart/Lung Resuscitator. The HLR provided automated cardiopulmonary resuscitation through an oxygen supply, which was used for both resuscitation and to power the mechanics of the machine.
