1979: LAERDAL PORTABLE SUCTION-LSU MODEL

In 1979 Laerdal introduced the Laerdal Portable Suction Unit (LSU model), which was an improved and more functional version than previous models. It had its own rechargeable battery, reusable tubing, and collection canister. The rectangular clear cover was designed to be used as an emesis basin.
